Map Name: Q1E2M2

John Romero created Quake 1’s E2M2, The Ogre Citadel, single-player map. It’s the second level of The Realm of Black Magic and is a large and heavily defended fortress. This map was the first look at Quake’s second episode (the E2M1 map was a base map). The design is that of a castle with a moat surrounding it. The castle’s interior is two stories. The end of the map is shown on the right side as a single room, but when the map was created, that wasn’t good enough so the end is a large jumping effort to get to the exit.

Size of Print: 11.7 x 16.5 in / 297 x 420 mm (A3)

Each print is personally signed and numbered by John Romero and comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity that contains the name of the work, artist, and year of creation. Each certificate is likewise signed and numbered to match its companion print.

  • Heavyweight textured paper allows very high ink loads with dark blacks and vivid colours.

  • The texture gives images relief and is great for replication as paper resembles much original media used by artists.
